Palo Verde Community College District offers a free, noncredit GED preparation program for adults ready to move forward. Classes are available in Math, Science, Reasoning Through Language Arts, and Social Studies at the Palo Verde College Main Campus and the Needles Center. There is no tuition and no cost to enroll.
When you register, you become a Palo Verde Community College District student. This means access to college counseling, education planning beyond the GED, student support services, and college events. The program is designed to help adults not only earn a GED, but also see themselves as college students with real options ahead.
The District is a GED Pearson VUE Certified Testing Center, allowing students to prepare for and take the GED exams on campus in a familiar, supportive environment. This removes barriers and helps students move from preparation to testing with confidence.

Preparation in mathematics for students appearing for the General Education Development (GED) exam in that subject area. Provides instruction in quantitative and algebraic problem solving skills building and test taking strategies to respond to questions on the GED exam in mathematical reasoning. Upon completion and demonstration of competence in the course, students may continue GED preparation or advance to develop skills for the workplace and to prepare for further educational opportunities.

Preparation in language arts for students appearing for the General Education Development (GED)exam in that subject area. Provides instruction in reading comprehension, grammar and writing the extended response essay, using successful test taking strategies and hands-on online testing practice. Upon completion and demonstration of competence in the course, students may continue GED preparation or advance to develop skills for the workplace and to prepare for further educational opportunities.
NBE-032 GED Language Arts Prep

Preparation in science for students preparing for the General Education Development (GED) exam in science. Provides instruction in biology, physiology, chemistry, earth, and space science. Skill building in test taking strategies for multiple choice and short answer response questions on the GED exam. Upon completion and demonstration of competence in the course, students may continue GED preparation or advance to develop skills for the workplace and to prepare for future educational opportunities.

Centro de Educación para Adultos – Clases de GED en Español
El Centro de Educación para Adultos ofrece clases gratuitas y presenciales de preparación para el GED en español para adultos de 18 años de edad o más que desean obtener su diploma de equivalencia de preparatoria. Se aceptan estudiantes nuevos durante todo el año, y los adultos pueden integrarse a la clase e inscribirse en cualquier momento.
Las clases están diseñadas para personas que prefieren apoyo guiado, atención personalizada y un ambiente sin presión.
Las clases se llevan a cabo todos los martes de 6:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. en Twin Palms School, con fácil acceso para la comunidad. No hay un proceso largo de inscripción—solo preséntese a clase y el personal lo registrará en el salón.
El programa se enfoca en desarrollar habilidades, fortalecer la confianza y preparar a los estudiantes paso a paso para aprobar exitosamente todos los exámenes del GED.
